Meet Emma

Start healing from being at war with your own body…

Many of us have been warring with our own body for years, maybe decades. This struggle may include unsustainable diets, militant exercise we don’t enjoy, harsh self-talk, and constant obsession with weight. If this is you, perhaps, some of these “healthy” behaviors are starting to not actually feel so healthy for your state of mind, or physical body. In fact, they likely leave many of us feeling MORE self-conscious! And yet, it’s hard not to sucked back in to Diet Land- again and again and again.

Why? because we are living in a society that is SATURATED with the thin ideal, and that condemns natural body size diversity. REAL bodies are seen by many as something to be hidden, or worse, fixed. Even by our friends, families, our health care workers and therapists! Given how many of our peers fear real bodies, it would actually be kinda shocking if we DIDN’T struggle with self-image…

My name is Emma (pronouns: She/Her) and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Nutritionist (CN) in Seattle, WA. My down-to-earth style is grounded in Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size, and fat-positive feminism. I help thoughtful, driven femmes and women stop trying to tame their bodies, and instead tune into their hearts, to release the endless diet cycle and find what actually feeds their spirits!

If you’re ready to start feeling neutral/gentle/at peace with your body, drop me a note in the message box for your free 20-minute phone consultation, and I will help you develop an approach to eating, moving, and grooving that makes sense for YOU.
